PROXIMITY is now on ReverbNation! Also gearing up for release of new collection “Affinity”.

Electronic Press Kit

Some dark force seemed to surround me and cursed all technology I touched last month. I decided to add memory to my DAW and the day it arrived my DAW blue screened with bad messages like drive not found. I had not even has a chance to open the tower up when the SATA controller on the mainboard died. Fine! I create an RMA and wait… In the mean time I decide to just get another board and see if two years of work survived the crash. Three days later I am starring at my new board and a small amount of hope. Until, I see that a pin has bent on the CPU, the curse lives on! I am careful to try to “nudge” the pin back but it snaps! One mainboard, CPU and any hope left gone. I am going to turn this minus into a plus! Now is a good time as any to move from a x4 to x6 CPU so I order a new chip and wait.. and wait… turns out the dinks at the courier company sent it to the other side of the country and this is not a small country. The darkness prevails and I bitch to no avail. Two weeks later I now have a new board, chip and fists full of memory and no confidence at all. All seems to go well until it is time to add the stock cooler to the chip… will not fit. I manage to use the cooler from the damaged chip and with reluctance turn on the machine. No smoke yet… No operating System either but the drives are being detected but this was built in RAID 0 and I am not sure I can rebuild this. Another week later I am now running a clean new installed OS and my projects have been recovered but I have to re-install all instruments and software.

Lessons learned? Technology is evil and will kick you when you are down and there is not a damn thing you can do about it!

Weird how some songs take two years to realize and some take two days! This is the latter… The original version by New Order changed my neural pathways the first time I heard it.
